Day 1

This is the arrival day. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Spend the afternoon and evening relaxing in your hotel room or taking in the sights of Sofia. This evening, you will enjoy a full course Bulgarian meal at a popular restaurant for your welcome dinner!

Day 2
We leave Sofia at 8 a.m. Arrive at the starting point at Yantra River near the town of Byala in the afternoon. Yantra River is 285 km. long and is one of the main and most high water tributaries of the Danube river. Passing through the mountains, the river forms numerous meanders and gorges which are very suitable for kayaking in the lower and upper course. The meanders and the overhanging rocky banks make it very attractive for paddlers from both Bulgaria and abroad. Every spring the Water Tourism Federation organizes a national water passage. Our section of the river is very comfortable for kayaking, without difficult and hard passages. We will set up the tents on a big lawn at the river bank for the first night under the stars.

Day 3
After breakfast and coffee we pack up the camp and launch the boats on water. Today we will pass about 25km by kayaks along the beautiful course of Yantra River. We will stop for a break and lunch at noon. Arrive in Tsenovo village in the afternoon where we sett up the second camp. Then we will gather firewood so that we can have the deserved rest in the evening around the camp fire.

Day 4
After packing up the camp we get on the kayaks again. Today our route includes passing between the overhanging rocky banks of Yantra River. The route length is about 30 km. We will enjoy exciting views. At noon we stop again for rest and lunch. This night we make the camp next to Belyanovo village. The campfire will be a pleasant end of the day.

Day 5
Breakfast and coffee are a must. We pack up the camp and dip again in the charisma of kayaking in this beautiful river. At noon time we will reach Yantra River’s mouth near Krivina village. The river flows in the Danube here. The view is very exciting. There we stop for rest and lunch.
This interesting day will end on the Danube river bank near Pirgovo village. There is a nice tavern near the camp where we can have a glass of cold refreshment and fresh fish meal.

Day 6

Collecting the camp and loading the kayaks on the bus. We head for the natural and historical reserve of Rusenski Lom. There we will visit the rock-hewn churches of Ivanovo which are listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Arrive at Nisovo village in the late afternoon where we check in a three star hotel complex.

Day 7
After we wake up and have breakfast we set off for the famous proto-Bulgarian fortress Cherven and after that - for the village of Krushuna. There is a rare karst complex of caves and waterfalls.

Day 8
Today we enter the Vodopada water cave by inflatable boats. In the afternoon we will enter one of the largest caves in size - the Devetashka cave. Spending the evening in the camp again.

Day 9
Today we head for Karlukovo village - the cradle of Bulgarian speleology. The biggest passable cave on the Balkans - Prohodna cave, is situated there. The height at its big entrance is 42 m. We will visit the unique Fracture Canyon near Reselets village on the way.

Day 10
After breakfast and coffee we will have training on climbing and abseiling, then we make a zip-line trolley in Prohodna by which everybody will abseil. At dusk we will enter Svirchovitsa cave not far away from the camp.

Day 11
After breakfast we set up our camp for the last time and set off for the eco-path in Zadanen Dol. This is a very beautiful and interesting karst canyon. After that we will load the bus and leave for Sofia.
